Principal Risk & Assurance
Work Location: Perth Fortescue Centre
- Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.
Roster: Monday to Friday
The Principal Risk and Assurance delivers risks management strategies and assurance services to management and the Board working across both Fortescue Metals Group and Fortescue Future Industries (FFI) globally.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and facilitate the delivery of risk identification and assessment workshops on a range of strategic, operational and commercial matters.
- Provide credible advice on how risks are assessed and the effectiveness of existing or planned controls.
- Follow up and verify the implementation of agreed audit actions or risk improvement plans.
- Support ongoing risk analysis and insights reporting for senior management and the Board.
- Support a range of other assurance activities such as the verification of key figures or certifications relied on by the Board or undertaken for public disclosure.
- Assist with the development and delivery of functional plans and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Significant years of experience in the delivery of risk management services in a combination of a professional services environment and work with large, complex, multi-national businesses.
- Working experience with or in mining or energy industries essential
- Manufacturing or processing industry experience is a bonus
- Proficiency in professional report writing and the delivery of presentations to an executive audience to convey technical concepts simply and with impact.
- Professional qualifications (such as CA, CPA, CIA, CPRM).
