About the Role
Reporting to the Transformation Manager, the Principal Scrum Lead is an SME in Agile delivery methods, providing agile coaching to the People Experience (PX) team and uplifting capability in the HR function more broadly.
This role will act as a mentor and change agent in coaching and guiding teams through the adoption of agile ways of working, helping to remove barriers to agility and enabling a culture of experimentation, learning and responsiveness.
By embedding agile ways of working and human-centered design, the role plays a critical part in ensuring HRBPX provides scalable, intuitive, and engaging solutions that improve the overall people experience and support organizational success.Core Accountabilities:
- Leads a capability uplift program to build agile capabilities in the People Experience team, including providing hands-on coaching to HR teams and stakeholders to embed Agile principles, practices, and mindsets.
- Partners with PX LT to set the agile standards (playbook) and ensures harmonization with BOS practices and routines.
- Provides coaching and support to HR leaders on leading in an agile environment – helps leaders to role-model agile behaviors and champion the transformation in operating model.
- Role models facilitation of key Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives) ensuring they are effective and time-boxed.
- Supports teams in backlog refinement and prioritization, ensuring alignment with business outcomes and people experience goals.
About You
- Experience working as a Scrum Master or in Agile delivery.
- Experience energising and shaping a great team culture.
- A curious and inquisitive mindset – one that always pushes for what’s next and what more could we do.
- Experience in coaching and facilitating across multiple organisational levels
- Deep understanding and practical application of BOS
- Adaptability – Agile is part of the BHP ways of working – it might have some nuances to what you have practiced before, but this works for us so you come open minded.
- Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP) or Certified Scrum Coach (CSC) is a plus.
This position is open for a 12-month Fixed Term / Secondment.
