Work Location: Perth - Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people

 

Roster: Monday to Friday

 

Join Fortescue’s global security team and play a key role in protecting our people, operations and business activities worldwide. Supporting the Manager Security, you will provide security risk management expertise across international operations, travel security, incident response, executive engagements and corporate events, helping to strengthen organisational resilience and support safe business outcomes. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct security risk assessments and develop security management plans.
  • Support global travel security programs and traveller risk management activities.
  • Coordinate security arrangements for corporate events, executive travel and high-profile engagements.
  • Monitor, assess and communicate security risks impacting business operations.
  • Support security incident management, investigations and crisis response activities.
  • Deliver security awareness and travel security training programs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external security providers.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Fortescue’s security capability, frameworks and resilience programs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in security, risk, intelligence or a related discipline.
  • Experience conducting security risk assessments and developing security management plans.
  • Experience supporting international operations and managing travel security risks.
  • Experience coordinating security arrangements for executive travel, corporate events or high-profile engagements.
  • Experience managing security incidents and coordinating response activities.
  • Strong understanding of security risk management principles and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of global security threats, geopolitical developments and travel risk management practices.
  • Understanding of incident management and crisis management frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant discipline.
  • Professional qualifications in security, risk management, intelligence, emergency management or business continuity are desirable.
  • Resource sector or multinational corporate experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to obtain relevant security licences and clearances as required.
