About the Role
Guiding and directing the implementation of the Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management, including the establishment of sustainable systems within the team to ensure Nickel West is compliance by the set target dates.
Reporting to the Manager Governance and Technical Stewardship, the level of this role will be based on the successful applicant’s experience (engineer/senior/principal). Your key accountabilities will include:
- Assessing change impacts to prepare integrated change management plans, managing change readiness and resistance
- Mapping the GISTM obligations, and devise how best to fit them into BHP systems, create new systems/structures/documents as required, and compile directories of evidence for audit
- Identifying and assessing risks, using BHP's risk management framework and building a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes
- Sourcing information, planning and conducts analyses to support evidence based decision making.
- Working with operational and functional teams to influence and facilitate processes required to achieve GISTM compliance
About You
The successful candidate, will ideally possess the following:
- Bachelor Degree in Civil, Environmental or Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent
- Experience relevant to tailings projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to produce high quality deliverables proposals and reports
