About the Role

We are seeking a Technology Principal, with operational experience, to join our team.  Reporting to the Manager Technology Operations, the purpose of this role is to provide technical guidance to incoming project teams regarding what is required to maintain a Technology service. This role is accountable for delivering excellence with respect to integrating technology services into Technology Operations (including control systems, radio, CCTV and associated infrastructure). Managing operational technology at Olympic Dam to ensure safety, stability and productivity is a core accountability of this role.

Please note this position is based at Olympic Dam with FIFO, DIDO or residential options available.

In this role you will:

  • Provide guidance to incoming projects and internal teams around operational requirements when new services are introduced and/or modifications are made to an existing service
  • Support the Technology Operations Services Owners with project engagements – coordinating a consolidated Technology Operations response for complex projects

  • Motivate, engage and coach the team towards achieving safety, inclusiveness and productivity goals
  • Plan for and establish Technology Operations Integration work methods and processes, including alignment with both Operational and Functional processes
  • Establish positive working relationships with operations and support functions

About You

You will have a proven track record in the field of operational technology and what it takes to run/maintain these services. An understanding of operational readiness activities would be beneficial.  The results you have achieved will demonstrate your ability to engage, lead change and influence others. Operational leadership experience is beneficial (or a desire to move into this area given you will be a part of the Technology Operations Lead Team).

Your ability to multi task and to meet tight deadlines will be second to none, as will your ability to adapt to change and remain calm under changing circumstances.  Strong communication and problem solving skills are critical to this role. This role will also require strong influencing and delivery of results/deliverables through other teams.  Stakeholder engagement and strong collaboration with Technology Services Owners and project personnel will be required to maximise performance.
