Principal Workspace Engagement
Work Location: Perth - Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Roster: Monday to Friday
In this role, you will be at the heart of our workspace engagement strategy helping to drive the Fortescue’s values and how we experience the workplace. You'll have experience of great innovation, organisation, quality execution and programme management. You'll also have an interest in thinking strategically and operationally across the organisation to support short-to-long term deliverables.
The main function of the Principal Workspace Engagement is to prioritize the employee experience, whether working in-person, remote or hybrid. You will be supporting employee satisfaction and wellbeing, increasing productivity through the correct work environment, improving team spirit and collaboration and simplification and improvement of end-to-end operations.
Achieving this performance will require the definition and execution of appropriate strategic plans and bringing to life innovative culture and workplace engagement programs for our in-office and hybrid team members. Tasked with developing strategies to improve performance in various areas, driving strategy and operational process whilst continually benchmarking and providing innovative thought. Working alongside, and in support of, the other key functional leaders, this role promotes key stakeholder engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Development of a workspace engagement strategy including oversight of workplace experience nationally & globally
- Digitalisation of the workplace (technology integration, frictionless experience, communication)
- Future ways of working (cost management, services, data, experience, globalisation)
- Leadership on incorporating new ways of working, sustainable design and guidance on new building selection.
- Improving carbon footprint, sustainability and wellbeing through better design and operational management of all leased and owned spaces
- Ensure the workplace experience continues to be a differentiator both local and global.
- Explore and implement workplace programs and technology to improve how our employees work and collaborate with each other.
- Build processes and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and safety at all Fortescue workplaces
- Ensure compliance with security and safety in physical, remote, and digital workplaces, staying informed on legislation and guidance and other governmental bodies.
- Keep up to date on innovative culture and workplace opportunities nationally and globally.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
- Significant experience in workspace culture and HR including delivery management experience, including managing projects and teams, successful stakeholder relationship management, and multi-project oversight
- Experience creating an engaging workplace culture and environment for employees. Including making changes in organizational workplace delivery models and the impacts on property usage, the technology required and the mitigating impacts on people
- Interest in new topics such as customer experience, automation and cognitive services.
- Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand business terms to all levels of management including senior leaders.
