About the Role
The main function of the Process Technician is to safely operate parts of the plant which affect control of the nickel concentrator process to enable the process plant to achieve business plan production targets. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor of the production team, the role will include learning and operating process plant sections that produce a high quality nickel concentrate product. These sections include; Crushing, grinding circuit operation, flotation processes, and ultimately potential training and operation of a complex distributed control system.

- FIFO opportunity on an even time roster, 7 days on, 7 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off

This role will provide you with a wide and varied experience in process operations that are applicable to many different industries, giving you skills and knowledge that is highly sort after in the resources industry.
About You
Candidates will benefit from being able to demonstrate:

- Mechanical Aptitude
- Current or previous Process Technician experience is desirable, however is not essential. Entry-level positions are available, with all training supplied.
- A passion to learn and improve themselves and improve the process plant
- Strong problem solving skills
- Able to work unsupervised and handle a complexity of tasks in an effective manner
- Maintain positive communication skills via two-way, email and direct methods – this inludes the ability to give an explanation or direction that is clear, short, and concise

Location
Nickel West Mt Keith is located 460 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in the Northern Goldfields. Nickel West Mt Keith is a surface mining operation with multiple open pits and a concentrator plant. The operation is surrounded by pastoral stations, with the nearest townships being Leinster and Wiluna. There's plenty to keep you entertained in the Mt Keith Village. Take the heat off the day and head to the pool - or join in any number of social activities. Employees commute to and from Perth on a fly in / fly out roster
