About the Role 

Reporting to the Packing Supervisor. the Packaging Team safely and efficiently maintains the flow of products to our customers. You will work in a team that plays a part in the Nickel Refinery’s journey to become the leading producer of high quality nickel products and the biggest global producer of nickel sulphate.

As a process technician, your role will include packing and loading intermediate and finished products for our customers. This includes Nickel Sulphate, an ingredient used in the production of batteries in electric vehicles and energy storage market that is produced here at the Kwinana Nickel Refinery.

You will also have the opportunity to operate in a fully automated bagging plant. This role is offered on a sportsman roster 2D2N5X 2D3N4X 3D2N5X and will require flexibility to meet packing and shipping schedules.

  • Previous experience in a warehouse/logistics environment
  • Able to work to meet deadlines on a day/night roster
  • Work effectively with other team members
  • Trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
  • Contributing to our safety and continuous improvement culture

  • Strong orientation to safe work practices – High safety focus

About Kwinana

Located 30 kilometres south of the Perth, the Nickel West Kwinana produces nickel briquettes and nickel powder.  While many employees live in Perth, Fremantle and Mandurah, the Kwinana region is a thriving coastal township with three public beaches, excellent schools, modern shopping facilities and a wide variety of housing options.  As part of our commitment to health and safety Nickel West Kwinana is a smoke free operation.

We are investing in a Nickel Sulphate plant to be built at our Kwinana refinery south of Perth. We believe there are significant competitive advantages for Nickel West to move downstream into the battery chemical business.
