Who We’re Looking For:

Reporting to the Production Supervisors in our Ore Processing Department, you will maintain a safe work environment while focusing on troubleshooting plant operating problems.

Roster: This is a permanent full-time role, FIFO from Perth on an 8 days on / 6 days off, 7 nights on / 7 off roster.
Site: Telfer Mine Site, located in East Pilbara WA, a 2-hour flight from Perth.

Key Deliverables:

  • Monitor designated areas of the process plant and accurately record data as required by the Production and Metallurgy Departments, including all log sheets and downtime/standby time records.
  • Conduct operational and prestart checks, liaise with other Production Operators, and perform all assigned tasks to ensure optimal operation of the plant.
  • Carry out tasks as directed by the Production Supervisor in a timely manner and perform other cross-departmental tasks as required.
  • Actively participate in shift changeovers, ensuring all reporting requirements have been completed along with an effective handover.
  • Participate in training to gain competence in operating procedures, safety systems, and environmental requirements.
  • Develop key relationships with other departments such as Operators, Plant Metallurgists, Training Officers, OHS, and Mill Maintenance.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will be a collaborative team player with a can-do attitude and hands-on experience in a processing plant. Other requirements include:

  • Background in mining processing, e.g., crushing, grinding, and flotation.
  • Strong knowledge of isolations and isolation identification.
  • Practical ability in mobile machinery.
  • Have or willing to obtain licenses such as High Risk, Bobcat ticket, Front End Loader ticket, Forklift ticket, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • C Class Driver’s License is essential.
  • Full Australian Working Rights are essential.
