Processing Operations Supervisor

Work Location: Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people.

Roster: 7D/7N/14R – FIFO ex Busselton

Fortescue's Eliwana operation includes a 30mtpa dry Ore Processing Facility and dual stacker reclaimer, and 143km of rail linking the mine to our Hamersley rail line.

The Operations Supervisor is a hands-on role, leading a dynamic successful team whilst maintaining a strong safety focus.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Promoting a positive, safety-oriented team culture and driving Fortescue's Values 
  • Fulfilling all requirements included within the statutory appointment as the Operations Supervisor as required by the Mine Safety Inspection Regulations 1995
  • Managing daily work packs and provide supervision to all Operations employees and contractors within sphere of control
  • Carrying out investigations into accidents and incidents
  • Liaising with the Planners to deliver and execute weekly maintenance plans
  • Ensuring JHA and Take Control systems are used for daily inspections and operational duties to high standards

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong commitment to health and safety
  • Experience in Metalliferous processing including wet and dry plants 
  • Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems
  • Understanding of both production and maintenance strategies for a large scale processing plant
  • Isolation and permitting systems experience
