Due to our expansion and growth, we are seeking a Processing Shift Supervisor to join our King of the Hills team.

King of the Hills (KOTH) is the flagship operation of Vault Minerals Limited and one of the largest gold mines in Australia. After a significant expansion, KOTH now features a 5.2 million tonne per annum (Mtpa) processing plant, providing a solid platform for long-term production growth. This dynamic operation combines open-pit and underground mining, with exciting exploration activities driving the future.  KOTH is located approximately 900 km northeast of Perth and 25 km north of Leonora, within the Goldfields Region of Western Australia. 

Due to our expansion and upgrades, we are seeking a Processing Shift Supervisor to join our KOTH team. Responsible for supervising and mentoring processing crews to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. This role will support daily production goals and may act as Processing Superintendent when required.

This position will be offered on a 15:13 FIFO roster from Perth - dayshift and nightshift rotation.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Oversee daily plant operations to maintain optimal output and efficiency across all processing areas.
  • Monitor and adjust equipment and operating parameters to meet production targets.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and legislative standards, particularly in tailings and water systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections to minimise downtime and maintain high housekeeping standards.
  • Lead, train, and mentor Process Operators to build team capability.
  • Manage reagent usage and inventory, ensuring cost-effective and consistent supply.
  • Complete and submit shift documentation, including pre-starts, hazard forms, and inspection reports.
  • Report faults and coordinate with Maintenance for timely resolution.
  • Perform maintenance tasks and monitor problem areas, escalating issues as needed.

About You 

  • 5 years’ working knowledge in the operation of a Gold plant is essential
  • Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor Certificate (mandatory)
  • BSBWHS411 Implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures and programs (mandatory completion)
  • RIIRIS402E - Carry out the risk management process (mandatory completion) 
  • Competent in the operation of crushing, grinding, control room, leaching, gravity and gold room sections of a gold processing plant
  • Proficient in the use of MS Outlook, MS Excel, Chem-alert, Pronto, Citect, SAP
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the WA Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations
  • A proven history in managing performance and instilling accountability
  • WA Driver’s License (manual C Class)
  • Certificate IV Frontline Management, Metalliferous Mineral Processing OR Training & Assessment (desirable)
