About the Role

This role will work in our Copper Procurement Team. accountable for the team managing the Commercial and Sourcing activities for Aviation, Facilities Management, Logistics, Vehicles and Water services.

Responsibilities:

•    Leading a small high performing team of procurement professionals •    Developing and sustaining positive team culture with inclusivity and team cohesiveness •    Delivering commercially favourable outcomes through creative sourcing strategies, efficiencies and analysis of total cost of ownership/lifecycle costing •    Ensuring a high standard of change management across new contracts and material scope changes •    Developing strong relationships with critical suppliers  •    Effectively mitigating risk and ensuring continuity of supply •    Driving continuous improvement initiatives •    Excellence in contractor management 

About You

As the successful candidate, you will ideally possess the following:

  • Prior experience in Procurement, legal or related commercial discipline is essential
  • Prior experience in categories of FM, Aviation, Waste, Logistics, and other NPI contracts is highly desirable
  • Previous experience in leading teams is desirable but not essential
  • Previously demonstrated ability to collaborate and deliver customer focused outcomes is essential 
  • Experience delivering improvement, identifying constraints and working collaboratively with business to solve problems and deliver best practice outcomes is desired
  • Unconstrained thinking and a willingness to explore all possibilities in relentless pursuit of better outcomes
  • Excellent engagement skills with proven ability to energise and inspire others
  • Agility – confidence and ability to respectfully challenge, calm amongst adversity and willingness to learn and reflect on wins, mistakes and learnings

The role is based in Adelaide, South Australia, in the award winning GPO building on Franklin Street. Some Site travel will be required.
