About the Role

The role can be based in Australia (Perth, Adelaide or Brisbane) or Singapore.

Our Global BHP Technology function is undergoing an exciting transformation journey and moving towards more modern ways of working.  

Be part of a newly formed Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Operations Functions team that partners with our Operations, Centers of Excellence & Functions to drive improvement and innovation in safety, culture, productivity and social value through the application of world class technology.   As part of the ERP Operation Functions team, you will report directly to the Manager ERP Operation Functions, and will be jointly responsible for the operational support and stability of BHP’s large and complex Work Management SAP applications as well as designing and documenting technology solutions for Work Management projects and continuous improvement activities. You will be working across multiple teams within Technology as well as the business, and a large offshore partner team.

In this role, your key accountabilities will include:

  • Providing functional and technical leadership and guidance in Work Management applications, to a globally dispersed team
  • Managing relationships with system integrators to support complete system delivery on cost, schedule and quality
  • Driving improvement of the applications in the portfolio to continuously improve service reliability, sustainability and performance
  • Governance of the Work Management system design
  • Working with key stakeholders across business to develop the strategy roadmap for the Work Management solution
  • Drive collaboration in BHP Technology to ensure effective execution of solution design on projects and other activities.

About You

As the successful candidate you will possess the following: 

  • Domain knowledge of Work Management and HSEC business processes, industry best practices, and capabilities, for examples: Maintenance Strategy Development and Optimisation, Maintenance Planning and Scheduling, Maintenance Execution, Event and Investigation Management
  • Domain knowledge of Work Management and HSEC Technology solution supporting the capabilities, for examples: SAP Plant Maintenance, SAP Fiori, Asset Performance Management, Master Data Governance, SAP BW, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP EHS
  • Champion BHP charter values
  • Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding
  • Ability to engage with others and to use multiple data points to take a planned and structured approach to solving problems
  • Demonstrates an ability to identify key / critical working relationships within and across teams, and promote the effective development of these relationships
  • Is able to persuade, convince, influence and generate commitment across org levels
  • Strong strategic thinking capability with an ability to lead change within BHP and partner ecosystem
  • Safety and sustainability mind-set
  • Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related (STEM) discipline is desirable
  • Knowledge & practical experience in the area of Agile, DevOps methodologies and practices is an advantage.
