ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent Full-Time position on a 7:7 Day Shift roster, FIFO from Darwin or Cairns. Residential on Groote Eylandt considered.

As the Production Chemist (Laboratory), you will be responsible for providing technical support to the laboratory operators and supervisor.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

  • Maintain upkeep of the Quality Management process and ensure the laboratory and sampling systems comply with ISO/IEC 17025 and other relevant standards
  • Maintenance and repair of the laboratory instruments, sample preparation, and sampling equipment
  • Collect samples as required, receive and register in the Laboratory (LIMS), and prepare samples for testing and analysis
  • Ensure all laboratory procedures, SWI’s etc. are up to date and relevant to current work practices

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 

  • Prior experience working in a laboratory within Mining and Minerals Processing
  • Knowledge of XRF and NATA – preferred
  • Experience with LIMS – CCLAS preferred
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe working practices 

Qualifications for this position are: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Chemistry, Process Engineering or other related field 
  • Current C Class Driver’s Licence
