About the Role
We are seeking the applications for the position of Coal Supervisor for Mt. Arthur coal mine as part of our production team.
Reporting to the Coal Superintendent, you will be working a residential DS/NS 3/2 roster, to support the business requirements as needed and be a vital part of the production leadership team.
The Coal Supervisor role requires a person with solid leadership and problem-solving skills. Some exposure to mine production operations, coal or similar industry experience would be desirable but not essential. This role would be a great opportunity for a Production Supervisor, Coal Engineer or similar who is seeking development in a production/coal operational environment and will receive the necessary support to grow, learn and develop their skills to reach their potential
Duties will include:
- Exposure to through-seam and on-seam coal management
- Daily ROM Management
- Coal preparation and recovery projects
- People management
- Training plan development, oversight and coordination
- Leading and coaching throughout the continuous improvement system
- Hazard reporting and field leadership

About You
- You will be someone who works productively in a team environment and are also able to work autonomously
- A desire to lead a multi skilled team
- Coal experience is desire, but not a requirement
- You will be someone who has a passion for coal quality and coal recovery, and attention to detail
- Strong decision-making skills
- Be flexible in the required roster pattern
- Actively identifies opportunities for continuous improvement whilst always working in a safe and productive manner
- NSW OCE practicing certificate or equivalent not essentially but desirable, must have a wiliness to obtain NSW OCE practicing certificate
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Outstanding commitment to health & safety; and
- NSW drivers' license or National equivalent.
