About the Role
We are currently Production Coordinator, Port Production. The role is in Port Hedlands (Nelson Point & Finucane Island) on 7:7 Day / Night roster and is suitable for either Residential or FIFO out of Perth.
Reporting to the Port Logistics Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and optimal utilisation of all operating areas within Port and managing plant allocation and outages via the Permit to Work Process.
Your duties will include:
- An overriding commitment to the BHP Charter, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations.
- Managing operational performance of the plant, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the port business through the Port, from car dumper to ship loading in North, South, East and West yards.
- Interface regularly with Operations, Rail, Integrated Planning, Quality, Shipping and Maintenance in order to maximise the product tonnage through the entire supply chain.
- Participate in 4hourly Port Schedule Update Meetings to manage effectiveness of rake arrivals and allocations, tidal compliance and maximising utilisation of inflow and outflow circuits.
- Coordination of access to plant for maintenance and/or inspection including issuing of Permit to Work for Port (excluding shut works).
- Coordination and notification of opportune maintenance windows across the Port operation.
- Escalation of impacts to plant performance including unplanned outages or delays, and tidal compliance
About You
The successful candidate will be highly motivated and enjoy working in an inclusive team environment within the Port Services team, Port Production department.
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
- S44 and Responsible Person
- Previous experience in Port production or maintenance or; control systems operation, processing plant operating experience
- Knowledge of Port plant and equipment
- Previous experience in a team leadership or line supervision role
- Skills in using plant systems (e.g., PMAC, Citect skills)
- 5+ years relevant industry experience
