Managed by Yancoal, Premier Coal is the leading coal producer in Western Australia. Operating an open cut coal mine near Collie in the South West of WA, the operation produces more than 3 million tonnes of coal per year for domestic supply.

Premier Coal are looking for a Production Operator with experience as a shotfirer to join the team.

About the Role & You

• 12 Months experience driving a Caterpillar truck in an open cut mining environment,
• Previous experience operating other mobile plant equipment such as shovels, excavators, graders, dozers and water carts would be beneficial
• Current WA Drivers Licence
• Possess and maintain a current Surface Shotfirer's Licence
• Ability and willingness to work in a safe manner and adhere to all safety regulations, policies, safe working procedures
• Sound understanding of risk awareness, hazard identification and a strong commitment to safety performance
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals
• Ability to learn and adapt to the work environment in a short period of time
• Currently living within 70kms from site or willingness to relocate
• Permanent Full Time employment
• Even time roster – day shift only (4 days on 4 days off)
