About Mount Arthur Coal  

Mt Arthur Coal is an open-cut coal mine 100 per cent owned by BHP. Located in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales it's the largest producer of energy coal in the region, operating alongside olive growers, wine makers, horse breeders and the nearby residential community of Muswellbrook. About the Roles

Mt Arthur Coal is currently seeking experienced Production Operators for permanent part-time roster opportunities. Reporting to the Supervisor Production, you will play a key role in day-to-day mining operations, ensuring efficiency and safety at all times. These roles would be suited to individuals based in the Hunter Valley region of NSW, as these are residential opportunities. As a part-time Production Operator, you would be required to perform 12.67 hour shifts, on a rotating day/night roster pattern, working 6 or 8 shifts over a 28 day cycle.

About You 

Experience operating CAT 789, 793, Liebherr T282, or other equivalent sized haul trucks is required. 

As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate the following:

  • Overriding commitment to safety and BHP Charter Values
  • Dedicated and enthusiastic
  • Work effectively as part of a diverse team
  • Keen to learn and a willingness for self-improvement
  • Able to work to deadlines and remain focused under pressure
  • Effective listener and have well developed interpersonal skills
  • Minimum C class Driver’s Licence
