Production Superintendent - Greenbushes

The Greenbushes project is located in the picturesque South West region of Western Australia in the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes. Our client, Talison Lithium, is the world’s leading lithium minerals concentrate provider and the Greenbushes project is recognised as containing the world’s highest grade and largest hard rock deposit of the lithium mineral spodumene. Macmahon is pleased to deliver surface mining operations at the project from 01 July 2023.

Macmahon is seeking expressions of interest for a Production Superintendent to join the Greenbushes team on a Drive-In-Drive-Out (DIDO) basis. 

The role

• Lead by example, work, promote and manage in accordance with all established work rules, HSEQ legislation, standards, policies and procedures 
• Ensure manning levels and rosters are maintained
• Ensure improvement projects are completed and allocated
• Identify any non-conformances to KPI's resulting from repeat contributing factors and liaise with required stakeholders to develop and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence
• Ensure all mining activity is being monitored by supervisors and any non-conformances are being addressed through short interval control process
• Ensure optimum equipment productivity is achieved subject to prevailing site conditions without compromising safety 
• Liaise with plant department to achieve optimal standards of plant reliability and utilisation 
• Liaise with plant department on maintenance damage and breakdown issues
• Model and promote behaviours in line with Macmahon values

About you

• 7+ years' leadership experience
• Unrestricted Quarry Managers Certificate 
• Certification in Frontline Management 
• Certification in Risk Management Processes 
• Practical knowledge and experience of surface and underground operations including Load & Haul, Drill & Blast, ground control, and water management
• Significant mining industry experience within large scale surface mining gold projects
• Understand and manage operational costs, drivers and corrective actions
