About the role  

We are looking for Program Lead – Mine Water Management to join our Project Delivery Team based in Perth. You’ll be a role model for positive behaviours, practices, and processes, whilst providing guidance, development and support to a team of project professionals responsible for delivering a portfolio of Mine Water Management projects.  The scope of work you will be accountable for is challenging and diverse. Your demonstrated ability to engage, connect and positively influence key stakeholders at all organizational levels will play a critical part to the effectiveness in this role.

The Mine Water Management Programme is a streamlined approach and simplifies project execution, aligned with the long-term goals such as standardisation of dewatering equipment, implementing integrated fleet management to accelerate early production bore fit-outs, build trusted partnerships, enable continuous improvement, and ensure the timely delivery of our projects to meet defined scope, quality and budget parameters.

Reporting to the Principal of Sustaining Capital, you will:   

  • Assist in the management of the Mine Water Management program to achieve its strategic goals and deliver positive outcomes to the business
  • Partner with our technical services and site operation teams as you build close partnerships with the internal and external stakeholders to deliver solutions.
  • Be involved in front end planning to improve delivery timeframes and potential cost savings for individual projects.
  • Maintain, compile and analyse data to actively manage the Program goals, portfolio and reporting.
  • Collaborate and partner with our extensive supporting functions to ensure the Mine Water Management practice is implemented and sustained.
  • Support the team in adhering to the embedded project delivery systems, processes and procedures
  • Analyse project resourcing levels and recommend resources as appropriate to meet the programme deliverables
  • Assist in upskilling teams as well as participate in leadership in the field activities
  • Provide Technical support and compliance with engineering standards and project procedures.
  • Provide solutions to key deliverables and capital funding applications, ensuring these solutions are aligned business goals
  • Improve the safety outcomes and behaviours of our delivery teams and contractors:
  • Undertake quality safety conversations, coaching, reviewing risk assessments and construction methodologies.

What you’ll bring

  • Relevant Program management experience, coupled with the ability to define and implement project improvement initiatives to maximise capital efficiency
  • Strong, demonstrated experience working within project leadership roles, with the ability to confidently and effectively guide, mentor and coach team members
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, enabling you to effectively engage and work with senior leaders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to produce complex, cohesive reports with multiple inputs and ability to manage large budgets
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy the challenges and reward this
  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or another relevant field – desirable
  • Experience in dewatering, and managed aquifer reinjection – desirable
  • A current manual WA Driver’s license

This role will be based in Perth at our Central Park office working Monday-Friday. There will be a requirement to travel to site a few times a month.
