Program Manager – Decarbonisation (Heavy Mining Equipment)
Work Location: Perth, Ad hoc travel to site as required
Roster: Monday to Friday
We have an opportunity for an experienced Program Manager to join Fortescue Metal Group’s Operational Projects team to support our Decarbonisation journey and lead the Battery Electric HME Program.
As the Program Manager, you will support FMG’s Decarbonisation strategy to achieve net-zero emissions by developing and implementing a Battery Electric Heavy Mining Equipment (HME) Fleet across our mining operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Stakeholder management of internal and external stakeholders across several workstreams and organisations
- Delivery of safety performance across the program
- Lead the program throughout the stages of the project life cycle, pre-feasibility to close out
- Deliver cost and capital effective solutions to improve capital reduction of program whilst delivering the program’s scope
- Provide effective and strategic reporting and communications of program performance
- Implement an effective delivery framework that facilitates working across multiple organisations
- Drive schedule improvements to reduce delivery timeframes
- Risk and issue management across the program portfolio
- Deliver program of work within portfolio priorities and constraints which supports overall portfolio performance and realisation of opportunities
- Contingency planning and critical incident management skills.
About You
- Prior experience in managing multi-disciplinary programs which include experience across technical studies and delivery
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or similar related discipline
- Enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment in collaboration with other like-minded team members
- Have a strong project management background 10+ years and ability to manage multiple Project Managers (dotted line reporting) and report through to a senior management team
- Self-starting and positive mindset, resilience and open mindedness
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills across verbal, written and presentation
- Conflict management and resolution skills are essential
- Demonstrated experience in Heavy Mining Equipment will be highly regarded
