Project Accountant

Pit N Portal are currently seeking an experienced Project Accountant to join the team. Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, this opportunity will be based at our Osbourne Park Head Office.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Finance Business Partner with the preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, commentary and reviews
- Maintain Project related ledger accounts
- Analyse project costings, ensuring costings are accurate
- Liaise and build working relationships with Project staff, other members of the Corporate Finance Team and key Business Unit/Project Managers
- Occasional site travel is required.
- Assist with the review of key financial processes to facilitate continuous process improvement initiatives that meet the needs of the business
- Creating client invoices
- Adhoc duties as required
About you
- Advanced skills in Excel, intermediate skills in Word and PowerPoint
- Attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of reporting
- Prioritises workload to ensure deadlines are met
- Communicates clearing and concisely in both written and verbal form
- Demonstrated experience in EOM, P&L, accruals, forecast, budgeting and producing management reports.
- Process Improvement orientation, with the ability to analyse, design and review a complete business process to achieve better quality and more cost-effective results.
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting from an accredited provider.
- Enjoys working in fast paced team environment with tight deadlines.
- 5 years of commerce experience.
- Experience with a complex ERP system.
