Pit N Portal are currently seeking an experienced Project Accountant to join the team. Based at our Osborne Park office, this role will report to Finance Business Partner.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assist the Senior Business Partner with the preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, commentary and reviews
• Maintain Project related ledger accounts
• Analyse project costings, ensuring costings are accurate
• Liaise and build working relationships with Project staff, other members of the Corporate Finance Team and key Business Unit/Project Managers
• Assist with the review of key financial processes to facilitate continuous process improvement initiatives that meet the needs of the business
• Creating client invoices
• Occasional site travel is required
• Adhoc duties as required

Required skills / experience & attributes:

• 5 years of commerce experience, preferably within mining
• Advanced skills in Excel - Essential
• Intermediate skills in Word and PowerPoint
• Attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of reporting
• Prioritises workload to ensure deadlines are met
• Communicates clearing and concisely in both written and verbal form
• Demonstrated experience in EOM, P&L, accruals, forecast, budgeting and producing management reports.
• Process Improvement orientation, with the ability to analyse, design and review a complete business process to achieve better quality and more cost-effective results.
• Tertiary qualifications in accounting from an accredited provider.
• Enjoys working in fast paced team environment with tight deadlines.
• Experience with a complex ERP system.
• Working Rights within Australia
