Cadia Valley Operations is located in Central Western New South Wales, approximately 25 kms outside the vibrant regional township of Orange and a convenient three hours from the capital city of Sydney. Employees reside in varied accommodation options in and around the district of Orange with the surrounding area’s occupied by wineries, stone fruit orchards, farming and national parks.

Who we’re looking for
As the Project Administrator you will play a critical role within the Cadia Integrated Tailings Project team; through the delivery of professional, efficient and cost-effective administrative service and to support across the broader Cadia Tailings Project Team.
- Coordinating the Leadership team meetings and tracking team priorities against set milestones and deliverables
- Ensure meeting minutes and other appropriate administrative activities are recorded accurately, distributed and/or filed in a timely manner and in accordance with organisational and relative departmental requirements
- Accountability for Project Delivery resource management planning
- Work with H&S Manager to manage actions within internal systems
You will also be responsible for
- Assisting in the ongoing updates of Newcrest’s Project Management System
- Expense management and reporting
- Coordinate site travel and accommodation requirements in accordance with the Newcrest Travel Policy
- Coordinate purchase ordering, receipting and material requisitions in SAP in accordance with relevant Newcrest purchasing policies and procedures
- Roster Management of Cadia Tailings Project Team, including contractors, in consultation relevant functional managers
- Assist in the professional execution of site visits, and contractor onboarding including but not limited to ensuring data integrity in SAP, facilitating contractor access with access control, including but not limited to booking of inductions etc
- New employee on-boarding
- Team calendar and event management (including site meeting rooms and site vehicles as required)
- Carry out general administrative activities in a timely and efficient manner
To succeed and thrive in this position you’ll come from a strong administrative background in a similar administrative role. Mining experience in a projects environment is highly advantageous.
You will be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite in particular MS Word and have demonstrated experience in using travel and accommodation software packages. We are looking for a strong communicator, both verbally and written. You will have strong interpersonal skills and be familiar with working in a highly collaborative environment. You’ll show drive and passionate enthusiasm to work alongside our projects team!
