About the role  

We are looking for Project Controls Specialist to join our Projects team at Robe Valley. You’ll play a critical role in providing support for scoping, planning and scheduling, finance, cost control, and reporting to ensure successful delivery of multi-disciplined minor capital projects in a timely manner.

You’ll be part of a friendly team, supported by your leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You’ll work a 5:2, 4:3 roster which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life. 

Reporting to the Project Delivery Superintendent you will:   

  • Work in collaboration with the Project Superintendent to work in continuous improvements in project controls to achieve safe and successful completions of business priorities at Robe Valley with grounded values in RTIO’s Everyday Respect
  • Engage with various stakeholders to define work plans, analyse actuals against forecasts, contribute in-scope, scope control, schedules, plan finalisation.
  • Develop and implement appropriate project control as required, keep track of projects’ budget and schedule, maintain, and establish control as required.
  • Implement standard project control services such as reporting, risk management, financial control and monitoring, date integration, schedule and cost control.
  • Support in determining priorities goals and objectives of the projects, track and form project budget.
  • Monitor and manage financial control functions of the project and prepare financial plans, reports, cost estimates, forecast and analysis.
  • Participate, organize and take part in workshops, reviews, strategy planning, directions, structure and approach to focus on value and anticipated outcome

What you’ll bring

  • Significant experience working in projects’ planning, scheduling, control and reporting.
  • Experience in the construction areas associated with Mining and Minerals Processing Industry.
  • Ability to work closely with Stakeholders, Capital and Risk Management, Procurement Management and Project Delivery team to ensure safe and successful projects’ deliveries.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a desire to drive continuous improvement.
