About the Role
The Fleet and Autonomy team based in Perth is currently seeking a dynamic Project Delivery Specialist.
Reporting to the Lead Project Studies, you will be responsible for providing project management services throughout Selection, Definition and Execution phases for the delivery of multiple projects across the portfolio.
Reporting into the broader Asset Projects department, you will be working in a proactive business culture and with a supportive management structure. You'll have the chance to promote business excellence through your team and you'll make full use of your broad range of skills in the areas of technical knowledge and project management.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Management of a project area or specific contract/s to ensure it is being delivered safely, and to the approved quality, time and cost targets.
- Support the successful delivery of the project in accordance with Our Requirements and the MAP Internal Standard.
- Lead implementation of risk and quality management plans to assure effective management of the project's execution scope of work.
- Engage and manage consultants and contractors as required to perform the project.
- Directly assist the Study Lead with project reporting, management of schedule and cost control.
- Support and collaborate with the functions ensuring that, through affection influencing, the project receives the required support.
This is a Perth based role with intermittent site travel, noting that site travel requirements will increase as the project progresses. Flexible work options will be considered.
About You
- Professional and post graduate qualifications will be viewed favourable but not essential.
- Project management experience in an operational or projects environment.
- Sound commercial skills in managing suppliers, contractors and consultants to enable successful delivery of projects.
- Demonstrable experience in managing site based project activities and leading safety initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, influencing, motivational and negotiating skills with the ability to build credibility and trust across all levels with internal and external stakeholders.
