Project Engineer - Products and Prototyping
Work Location: Perth
Roster: Monday to Friday
This position will assist PMs with the scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and managing of technical activities to ensure efficient project delivery
Key accountabilities will include:
- Preparing and documenting development plans, coordinating scope definition, and monitoring assigned engineering projects including preparation of interim update reports and presentations to the acting PM
- Formulating project parameters as per the project owner’s requirements working to immediately fill gaps in the delivery plan
- Maintaining a project team dashboard to ensure that all members of the team have transparent access to schedules, plans and reporting on the status of each project
- Cooperating and communicating with the wider Manufacturing Team and other project participants and collaborating with Senior Engineers to create more efficient project methods and to maintain the project's profitability
- Coordinating and tracking the projects’ procurement activities
- Developing equipment or material specifications as well as scopes of work for the project as required
- Establishing field test methods and methods for monitoring the quality of those tests
- Ensuring the project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications
Qualifications and skills required:
- A Bachelor's degree in any Engineering discipline or Diploma in Project Engineering
- Extensive experience with project management delivery systems
- Prior experience preferably in the energy, infrastructure or resources sector, or large complex major projects
- Enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment in collaboration with other like-minded team members and adjacent project teams (also delivering a variation of the system)
- Highly responsible and trustworthy
- The ability to work with multiple discipline projects
- Excellent project management and supervision skills
- Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently
- Highly experienced communication skills within the project team and stakeholders
