About the Role

Reporting to the EME Lead Project Engineer - Asset Engineering, in the role of EME Project Engineer you will draw on your proficient leadership and technical capabilities to plan, manage and execute assigned projects and engineering work requests.

As part of a highly collaborative team, you will work with internal and external stakeholders and manage engineering contractors to achieve the right outcome for the business. This role allows for professional development and step up opportunities for motivated employees.

This role is Brisbane based, however regular site travel is required.

In this role your responsibilities will include:

  • Earth-Moving Equipment – Replacement/additional equipment Front End Loading, aligned with the BHP Small Project Management Framework.
  • Manage the planning, safe execution, and commissioning of approved modifications and small projects and deliver work on scope/ schedule/ cost and safety targets
  • Engage the operation across all departments, including key stakeholders, suppliers and vendors/ contractors
  • Actively investigate and implement safety, productivity, and cost saving initiatives

About You

You will possess strong project management skills and ability to apply Engineering principles within a mining or industrial environment in addition to the ability to influence and build relationships with a range of stakeholders.

You will have either a relevant tertiary and/or trade qualifications with some experience in leading small teams being advantageous.

You will also possess a strong attention to detail together with well developed organisational skills.
