Project Engineer - R&D and Prototyping - HPS
Work location: Dawson Road, Perth Airport
Roster: Monday to Friday
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering groundbreaking electrolysis products to the market.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist with the scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and managing of technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality
- Managing and coordinating projects related to research and development and prototyping of our hydrogen production systems
- Preparing and documenting product development plans, scheduling tasks, planning, forecasting coordinating resources, establishing and monitoring field test methods, and ensuring successful project execution
- Formulating project parameters as per the project owner’s requirements and assigning responsibilities to the most capable employees and monitoring the project team
- Interacting with clients, interpreting their needs and requirements, and representing them in the field
- Creating and maintaining a project team dashboard to ensure that all members of the team have transparent access to schedules, plans, and reporting on the status of each project
- Cooperating and communicating with the wider Manufacturing Team and other project participants and collaborating with Senior Engineers to create more efficient project methods and to maintain the project's profitability
- Coordinating the teams procurement activities
- Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions
- Developing specifications and scopes of work for the project's needed equipment
- Creating frameworks to measure the project's metrics and data collection
- Establishing field test methods and methods for monitoring the quality of those tests
- Ensuring the project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications
Qualifications and skills required:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Project Engineering or a related field
- Project management tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera and possess a strong background in R&D, productization, and/or the energy sector
- Prior experience preferably in the energy, manufacturing, or research and development industries
- Enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment in collaboration with other like-minded team members and adjacent project teams (also delivering a variation of the system)
- Highly responsible and trustworthy
- The ability to work with multiple discipline projects
- Excellent project management and supervision skills
- Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently
