Project Engineer - Underground

Macmahon is seeking a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team at the Deflector Underground Mine. In this exciting role, you will lead key underground mining projects, ensuring their safe and efficient execution while utilising industry-leading tools like SAP and Power BI for project management and data reporting. About the role
Oversee the planning, design, and execution of underground mining projects, including tunnels, shafts, and ventilation systems.
Utilise SAP for project management tasks and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including geologists, safety officers, and operations teams.
Proactively identify and address project risks and challenges to ensure smooth project delivery.
Ensure strict adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all project activities.
Provide regular progress updates and reports to stakeholders and senior management.

About you

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering 
• 1-2 years of underground mining experience 
• Experience using SAP for project management and Power BI for reporting and analysis.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel 
• A WA Shift Boss ticket is highly desirable.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a focus on safety and compliance.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting.
