We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Project Lead (Structural) to support the delivery of our Marine projects within the Cape Lambert Sustaining Capital team. Based in Perth, this role will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of Marine projects from Pre-Feasibility through to Implementation and Closure of the project with great engagement a key tool for success.

This position is a great opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic project professional to extend their expertise and apply their project knowledge to a diverse range of projects.

Reporting to the Senior Project Lead, and working in a supportive and collaborative team, you will:

  • Ensure the safe delivery of the portfolio of sustaining capital projects from pre-feasibility, through feasibility and into implementation
  • Monitor project progress and compliance to schedule and cost
  • Liaise with key stakeholders throughout the project phases, to ensure the delivery meets End User requirements.
  • Review and implement project plans, documents, and standards
  • Ensure all site construction activities are delivered in line with Rio Tinto HSE standards and policies

What you’ll bring

  • Relevant tertiary/ trade qualifications or qualifications in project management
  • Experience with structural based projects. Experience within the Marine environment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive and trusting relationships across a wide range of stakeholders
  • Project management experience within a mining or heavy industrial environment
  • An understanding of cost management and control of a project budget
  • A current ‘C’ class driver’s licence

This position will be based in the Perth CBD at our Central Park building with travel to site as required.
