We are looking for an Agile trained, creative Project Lead – Capability Development, to help us in Rio Tinto Iron Ore, create industry’s leading welcome and connect experience for all our new employees.
The project will focus on developing and designing a new employee onboarding experience that facilitates speed to belonging, confidence, connection, compliance, and speed to competence. You will be required to define business impact measures, determine & design appropriate onboarding content and delivery methods to meet the needs of our business.
Supported by the broader Capability Development Team, this role will lead the initiative from concept to delivery including developing and managing project scopes, plans, budgets, resources, change management, communication and stakeholders, plans, work packages, milestones, and project reporting.

Reporting to the General Manager - Capability Development, you'll be required to:
- Define onboarding program outcomes with a link to business objectives
- Identify critical behaviours and required drivers
- Design onboarding content
- Determine delivery method, technology, and infrastructure requirements
- Design evaluation tools
What you’ll bring
- Demonstrated Agile Project Management experience leading and delivering learning & development initiatives
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience in managing internal communication
- Stakeholder Engagement and Management
- Experience leading a small team of professionals
- Demonstrated experience in delivering through others in a matrix organisational structure without formal authority, specifically demonstration of project and change management
- Agile methodologies – design thinking, persona led journeys
- Experience managing change within large complex organisations

Where you’ll be working
You will be based at our head office located in Perth Central Park building, working Monday to Friday. We encourage agile and flexible work arrangements.
