ABOUT CANNINGTON

Our Cannington operation is one of the world's largest producers of silver and lead.  Located in northwest Queensland, Cannington boasts an underground mine and processing facility situated approximately 800 kilometres west of Townsville and a concentrate handling facility at the Port of Townsville. Cannington mine provides on-site accommodation including meal services, as well as sporting and gym facilities.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent Full-Time position on a 4:3 roster, FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville, or DIDO from Mount Isa.  

As the Project Lead – Electrical, you will lead and manage capital and/or operational expenditure projects in the electrical, communication, and instrumentation fields, through project life cycle, from concept to handover and close-out.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

  • Display strong visible safety leadership and behaviours in alignment with S32 values
  • Pro-actively engage and collaborate with stakeholders, suppliers, specialists, and project teams to deliver projects to approved timeframes and budgets
  • Prepare project submissions to request funds within planned milestones and agreed deliverables for project approvals
  • Ensure compliance with project reporting and governance requirements

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 

  • Experience in a similar role within the Mining and Resources industry
  • Proven ability leading and managing simultaneous capital expenditure projects through project life cycle, from concept to handover and close-out
  • Proficient in developing and managing schedules and budgets

Qualifications for this position are: 

  • Tertiary or Trade qualification in Electrical engineering discipline 
  • Project management qualification desirable
  • Current C Class drivers licence
