Based on site at our Gunnedah Open Cuts, you will work alongside and lead a team of world class maintenance professionals passionate about delivering the highest standards of safety, equipment performance, availability, and utilization to our client.
Reporting to the Operations Maintenance Manager and working on a family friendly even-time dayshift roster, this is your opportunity to showcase your technical and leadership expertise whilst ensuring the safe and reliable performance of the Emeco equipment rental fleet and site-based teams. Other key responsibilities of this role include:
- Demonstrate a commitment to safety and provide leadership, ensure that works are being performed in a safe manner in accordance with company HSE standards and site requirements
- Be accountable for the performance and availability of site fleet to achieve both operational and financial company objectives.
- Responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the open cut sites within reporting structure and ensures all team members take responsibility for their tasks.
- Ensures all team members work effectively with maintenance planning to ensure major component entry is aligned to all planned events.
To be successful in this position, you will have a nationally recognized trade qualification and experience working on CAT, Hitachi and Komatsu gear, have demonstrated experience in managing high performing teams, be able to plan and prioritise, think critically, solve problems and have high personal standards of safety and accountability. A current driver’s licence is mandatory and you will be required to complete an Order 43 Coal Board Medical.
