Project Manager

Barminco have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our experienced and highly skilled team in Western Australia.  

We are looking for leaders who enjoy working with a dedicated team to develop and support their skills in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a leader who is interactive with the mainstream workgroup, someone who is willing to get UG and collaborate with the workforce.

Key Requirements 

• 15+ years’ experience in underground mining including exposure to Mine Foreman, Mine Superintendent or Alternate Project Manager roles
• Provide leadership of the project plan, deliver to project timelines, and ensure all relevant compliance is adhered to
• Maintain and implement Health and Safety on site by complying with relevant state legislation, acts, regulations, company procedures and site requirements
• Ensure all project personnel operate safely and comply with all acts, regulations, laws and client rules and regulation applicable to the contract
• Maximise project profitability and assume overall accountability for the delivery of the project
• Ensure quality requirements are met and reported on
• Ensure the progress of the project is accurately reported
• Lead the client relationship
• Ensure the project is adequately resourced to maintain project timelines
• Monitor the management of the critical risk register for the entire project and ensure mandatory controls are in place
• Excellent working knowledge of technical, and operating processes relevant to mine planning and scheduling
• Proven business acumen with the ability to interpret and prepare high-level reports
• Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal
• A valid Manual Australian Driver's Licence
• National Police Clearance (within 6 months) or the ability to obtain one
• WA Based role 8/6 roster FIFO from Perth, W.A. Relocation assistance on offer.
