Key Responsibilities Include:
- Maintaining equipment requirements for all mining activities to ensure delivery on the mines required production schedule.
- Managing maintenance budgets and ensuring that expenditures are kept within approved limits
- Overseeing on-site service contracts to agreed levels of success
- Developing and maintaining relationships with the client, vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services
- Participating in regular Emeco and Client maintenance meetings
- Proactively reporting on project performance against contractual obligations (daily, weekly, and monthly)
- Reviewing, tracking and managing project profitability against targets, forecasts, and budgets, whilst also identifying and communicating areas of risk
- Driving project performance to meet project KPI’s and overseeing contract administration
- Owning project contractual obligations by leading and managing contractual and commercial issues.
- Support site-based HR activities including recruitment, performance management and employee relations
- Identifying opportunities and implementing continuous improvement initiatives that improve Emeco processes, systems, and performance
Required Skills & Experience:
- Extensive experience with the maintenance of heavy earth moving equipment in the mining industry
- Minimum 5 years heavy workshop and field maintenance experience in a managerial capacity
- Ability to influence and communicate effectively across all layers of an organisation and with any stakeholder group
- Proven strong client management and liaison skills and has good understanding of customer operations and equipment usage
- Able to apply business, financial and technical strategic thinking concepts
- Strong leader with the ability to mentor, coach, and delegate tasks
Educational and Technical Qualifications:
- Drivers Licence
- Certificates: relevant nationally recognised trade qualification.
- Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or equivalent preferred
