Project Manager - Alternate

We are currently seeking an Alternate Project Manager to work an 8/6 roster, FIFO ex Perth. This opportunity is at our Deflector Gold Mine Project which is based in the Mid-West of WA.

We are looking for innovative change leader with a bias for action and a drive to deliver results. You will have a demonstrated ability to engage clients and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes, along with well-developed leadership skills. 

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

•    Demonstrate a visible commitment to zero harm by establishing and driving a high standard of safety performance across the project and promote safety and environmental awareness to all employees
•    Apply effective contract management to ensure operations are executed in line with contract and client requirements, whilst ensuring financial outcomes are maximised and risks are minimized
•    Develop, manage and control operating and capital budgets
•    Direct, manage and control manning activities
•    Provide technical engineering and management expertise
•    Promote Macmahon values to ensure they are firmly embedded in the project culture
•    Build strong internal and external customer focused culture and practices to deliver positive project results
•    Build a competent, engaged and performance driven workforce and provide appropriate development opportunities to build internal capability; and
•    Drive continuous improvement and identification of growth opportunities across the business

Skills, Qualifications & Experience required:

•    WA Underground Shift Supervisor’s Certificate
•    WA First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate (ideal)
•    Extensive experience in Underground Mining including senior leadership roles – Foreman, Superintendent or Alt Project Manager 
•    Current C Class Driver’s Licence (minimum)
•    Current DGSC or willing to obtain
•    Thorough knowledge and understanding of WA Mines Act and Regulations
