Project Manager Alternate

Barminco is seeking an experienced Alternate Project Manager to join our team at the Great Fingall Operation in Western Australia.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in the safe, efficient and profitable delivery of underground mining operations. This position is ideal for an established mining leader looking to further develop their operational and commercial capability while supporting the successful execution of one of Barminco's key projects.

You will work closely with site leadership teams, clients and operational stakeholders to drive performance, maintain strong safety standards and ensure project objectives are achieved.

What You'll Be Doing

• Support the Project Manager in the leadership and management of all underground mining activities.
• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with statutory, contractual and company requirements.
• Drive operational performance across production, productivity, cost and quality targets.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cost control and commercial reporting.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and site stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor and develop supervisors and operational leadership teams.
• Coordinate workforce planning and resource allocation to maximise operational efficiency.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, safety and project outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous leadership experience within an underground hard rock mining environment.
• Experience as a Mining Superintendent, Senior Mining Engineer, Alternate Project Manager or similar operational leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of underground mining methods, production processes and safety management systems.
• Demonstrated commercial acumen, including budgeting, cost management and performance reporting.
• The ability to effectively influence, coach and develop teams.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working directly with mining clients.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a commitment to operational excellence.
