Project Manager – Operational Projects, Fixed Plant Projects (12 month contract)

Work location: Perth based with frequent site travel

Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.

Roster: 5:2 Roster (9 hours per day)

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivery and management of Demand Response projects on brownfield sites.• Stakeholder management of internal and external stakeholders which include internal Operational Projects personal, contractors, consultants, and the broader Fortescue family• Drive schedule improvements to reduce delivery timeframes safely• Deliver cost and capital effective solutions to improve the project’s capital intensity whilst delivering the projects scope on time and within budget safely• Provide effective and strategic reporting and communications of project performance on a regular basis• Demonstrated experience to deliver unique projects safely and on time.• Relentless focus on the deliverables including agility verses perfection• Interpret and implement Engineering design discipline and specification.

• Manage external engineering provider to adhere to schedule of deliverables and participate in reviews

Qualifications and Experience:

• 5yrs + Project execution experience. Engineering Degree qualified highly regarded.• High commitment to safety and good knowledge of lifecycle hazards• Extensive Project Management experience including the delivery of large, complex and multi discipline projects• Experience with project budgeting and cost control• Experience managing multiple contractor groups• Ability to successfully engage internal and external stakeholders at all levels• Excellent interpersonal awareness with ability to lead and motivate teams• Proactive and self-motivated, with a drive for excellence• Results driven, responsible and accountable• Ability to manage under pressure and adapt quicky to change• Great problem-solving skills and ability to effectively seek help when required• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
