Work location: Perth based (Balcatta)
Roster: Monday to Friday
In support of Fortescue’s focus on green energy and our carbon neutrality targets, one of our key initiatives is the production of green iron ore and steel
Based out at our new Balcatta R&D facility and reporting to the Manager Science, we are presently looking for an experienced Project Manager with track record of delivering new and challenging projects
Key accountabilities will include:
- Delivery and management of key projects that will support the R&D and scale up of Green minerals production.
- Stakeholder management of internal and external stakeholders which include internal FFI personnel, contractors, consultants, and the broader Fortescue family
- Drive schedule improvements to reduce delivery timeframes safely
- Deliver cost and capital effective solutions to improve the project’s capital intensity whilst delivering the projects scope on time and within budget safely
- Provide effective and strategic reporting and communications of project performance on a regular basis
- Demonstrated experience to deliver unique projects safely and on time.
- Relentless focus on the deliverables including agility vs perfection
Qualifications and skills required:
- Be degree qualified in Engineering having extensive work experience in delivering multi discipline projects
- Ideally Project Management qualifications
- High commitment to safety
- Excellent interpersonal awareness with ability to work well in a team
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a drive for excellence
- Results driven, responsible and accountable
- Skilled in problem solving rapidly
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience across all phases of project development FEED, detailed design, commissioning / startup, and operations would be highly advantageous
- Experience in technology development and taking R&D projects to commercialisation would be highly advantageous
- Experience managing projects associated with major hazard facility would be highly advantageous
