Project Manager - Junior

Macmahon is an Australian civil and mining contractor that specialises in providing services to the mining industry. Macmahon has been operating for over 50 years offering a range of capabilities, including open-cut mining, underground mining, drill and blast, civil construction, and plant and maintenance services. Macmahon also undertakes civil construction projects, including the construction of roads, dams, and other infrastructure required for mining operations. We have expertise in earthworks, site preparation, and project management for civil construction projects.

Macmahon is accepting applications for the role of Project Manager to join our Macmahon Civil Brisbane Team. This is a permanent full-time position based at our Brisbane Office near Brisbane Central Station. 

The role 

•    Provide technical expertise and knowledge 
•    Collaborate with our designers and drafters
•    Critically review design drawings and documentation
•    Predominantly mining based civil infrastructure; light and heavy vehicle roads, drainage, bulk earthworks, on/off site water management, flood levees, traffic studies and other mine related infrastructure

The ideal candidate

•    Civil Engineering degree or equivalent
•    Previous experience in a similar role
•    Demonstrated experience in the design of the following projects; road & drainage, bulk earthworks, stormwater, dams and rehabilitation
•    Demonstrated understanding of Civil Engineering codes, Engineering standards, specifications and procedures
•    Excellent communication
•    Microsoft Office Suite, 12D and AutoCAD proficient

This role would also suit an experienced Senior Project Engineer with mining based civil infrastructure experience.
