The prime purpose for this Project Manager position is to successfully lead a team of professionals to enable the safe and effective delivery of all engineering design, operational readiness, execution activities  and commissioning activities

Location 

This role will be based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities. 
As there is no accommodation on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie.

Accountabilities  

Primary responsibilities include:

•    Demonstrate a safe culture, safe behaviours and alignment with the South32 company core values
•    Ensure project activities are developed and delivered with work that is well designed
•    Be the single point of contact and accountability for allocated project
•    Manage project deliverables with the responsible team throughout the project life cycle, from design to handover and close-out
•    Prepare and submit all required deliverables for project tollgate approvals
•    Establish, communicate and deliver to approved timeframes and approved budgets
 
About You

•    Engineering or technical trade qualification within Mechanical, Electrical or Process disciplines 
•    Extensive Project Management experience
•    A sound technical knowledge and understanding of mining and resources projects
•    A solid understanding and proven experience in developing and managing schedules and budgets
•    Sound knowledge of project management fundamentals
•    Demonstrated behaviour of successfully operating within a team environment
