Title: Project Manager – Green Industry - Marine Projects
Work location: Perth based (East Perth)
Roster: 5/2 roster (Mon to Fri)
In support of Fortescue’s strong focus on green energy and our carbon neutrality targets, one of our key initiatives will be in our Green Industry Marine Projects whereby we will develop a range of technologies to power our Marine Fleet.
Based at our East Perth office we are presently looking for an experienced Project Manager with a track history of delivering new and challenging projects.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Delivery and management of key projects that will support the development of solutions to decarbonise our Marine Fleet.
- Stakeholder management of internal and external stakeholders which include internal FFI personnel, contractors, consultants, regulators, and maritime flagstate authorities and the broader Fortescue family
- Provide effective and strategic reporting and communications of project performance on a regular basis
- Demonstrated experience to deliver unique projects safely and on time
- Drive schedule improvements to reduce delivery timeframes safely
- Deliver cost and capital effective solutions to improve the project’s capital intensity whilst delivering the projects scope on time and within budget safely
- Relentless focus on the deliverables including agility vs perfection
- Experience in the maritime industry is preferred
Qualifications and skills required:
- BE degree qualification in Engineering having extensive work experience in delivering multi discipline projects
- Ideally Project Management qualifications.
- Experience with vessel management and/or operations
- High commitment to safety
- Excellent interpersonal awareness with ability to work well in a team
- Flexible, proactive and self-motivated, with a drive for excellence
- Results driven, responsible and accountable
- Skilled in problem solving rapidly
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
