About the role
This is a permanent full-time role being offered on a 4:3 roster (Mon-Thu), FIFO from Darwin or Cairns.
As the Project Manager, reporting to the Superintendent (structural remediation) you will be responsible for delivering the annual remediation program as per the approved budget and schedule taken from the multi-year plan. You’ll manage a small team of technical engineering resources to scope and develop practical structural repair solutions. Included in this team will be the required field labour and supervision to execute the repair scopes
Some of your main responsibilities will include:
- Manage scoping, detailed planning, and execution of proposed individual repair scopes
- Manage the site-based SIP team including engineering, technical support and supervision, and trade labour resources
- Manage the offsite Engineering support team
- Ensure the safe and efficient execution of the annual works program
- Develop the annual and long-term budget forecasts
About you
To be considered for the role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in relevant Engineering discipline or relevant trade qualification with Project Management qualifications
- Significant experience in a similar maintenance repair type role within heavy industry, preferably mining
- End to end project management skills, including knowledge in embedding cost and schedule control plans
- Sound computer skills including Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated ability to contribute, influence and make decisions within multi-functional teams and across all levels
- Proven ability to develop and maintain sound working relationships
