Title: Project Scheduler

Work location: Perth based (Hazelmere)

Roster: 5/2 Roster (Mon to Fri)

In support of Fortescue’s strong focus on green energy and our carbon neutrality targets, one of our key initiatives will be in our Green Fleet projects whereby we will develop and test a range of technologies to power our mining, locomotive and marine vessel fleets

Based out our new Hazelmere R&D facility and reporting to the Senior Scheduler, we are presently looking for an experienced Project Scheduler

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Determine optimal integrated task schedules to deliver green fleet projects using information provided by project teams on task duration and activities required.
  • Work with project teams to maintain live optimal integrated schedule for the life of the project based on the progress of activities. 
  • Work with the project teams to identify and mitigate risks to schedule adherence during life of project.
  • Work with the project management, engineering, and other project and business functional teams to continually improve planning processes and activities

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Ability to develop, maintain and report on optimal integrated task schedules.
  • Understand risk and its influence in developing and reporting schedules.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present plans and ideas in a clear and concise manner  
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
  • Previous Project Planning or Scheduling experience would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated use of MS Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project or similar software.
