Role Title: Project Scheduler – Green Fleet Development
Work location: Perth based
Roster: 5/2 roster (Mon to Fri)
In support of Fortescue’s strong focus on green energy and our carbon neutrality targets, one of our key initiatives will be in our Green Fleet projects whereby we will develop and test a range of technologies to power our mining fleet
Based at our new Hazelmere R&D facility, we are presently looking for an experienced Senior Project Scheduler to join the Green Fleet Development team
Key accountabilities will include:
- Providing schedules for a range of green fleet development projects
- Review and seek information from internal and external project and functional personnel to ensure all project schedules have the relevant detail and information to execute the project to a high standard suitable for the phase the project is in.
- Support Project Managers and Lead Project Engineers to develop detailed work breakdown structures suitable for the project and its phase.
- Work with the project management, engineering, and other project and business functional teams to continually improve planning processes and activities
Qualifications and skills required:
- Previous project Scheduling experience is essential
- Experience with scheduling of projects in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage
- Ability to establish a project baseline schedule, monitor and report progress
- Understand risk and its influence in developing and reporting project schedules.
- Knowledge and demonstrated use of MS Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project
- Experience in Primavera P6 would be an advantage
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present plans and ideas in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to work within a team environment but also independently to obtain project information to develop and maintain project schedules
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
