The Projects Crew operator is responsible for the construction and maintenance of underground infrastructure.

The Darlot mine is located about 900 km northeast of Perth and 121 km north of Leonora, in the Goldfields Region of Western Australia.
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor the Projects Crew operator is responsible for the safe and efficient construction and maintenance of underground infrastructure, including ventilation controls, concrete works, service installations, and civil mining projects. The role supports operational continuity and development targets, working in alignment with Vault Minerals’ safety protocols, procedures, and performance standards.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Constructing & maintaining underground infrastructure.
- Executing mining civil projects including fan chambers, pumpstations, and substations.
- Forming and pouring concrete pads.
- Building ventilation controls and shotcrete walls.
- Hanging secondary fans.
- Undertaking special labour projects underground.
- Assisting with scheduled inspections, servicing, and troubleshooting of underground services
- Supporting production goals by maintaining service infrastructure to minimise downtime.
- Assisting surface infrastructure and supply crews when required.
- Completing relevant service crew documentation and shift reports accurately.
- Maximising return on assets through effective utilisation, care, and security of equipment and tools.
- Maintaining compliance with Vault Minerals’ isolation and lockout/tagout procedures.
About you:
- Minimum 1 year experience in UG projects or service crew operations
- Proven experience operating EWP and ITC machinery
- Practical understanding of underground ventilation systems
- Knowledge of underground pipework and services installation
- Dangerous Goods & Security Card (DGSC)
- Nationally recognised Working at Height Certificate
- Hold a current WA Driver’s License (manual C Class)
