Pump Fitter - Bellevue

Barminco has successfully tendered for the exciting Bellevue Gold Project located approximately 40km north-east of Leinster in Western Australia’s Northern Goldfields region. Operated by Bellevue Gold Limited, Bellevue is one of Australia’s highest-grade underground gold mines, achieving commercial production in 2024 and positioned for significant long-term growth.   

This major underground operation combines industry-leading mining practices with a strong sustainability focus, including a hybrid renewable energy power station designed to supply more than 80% of the site’s power requirements through renewable energy sources.   

About the Role   

As part of this project, Barminco is seeking experienced and motivated Underground Pump Fitters to join the team on a full-time basis, working a 7/7 FIFO roster. These roles are integral to delivering safe, productive and efficient underground mining operations at the Bellevue Gold Mine while contributing to the continued success and expansion of the Bellevue Gold Mine.  

Your role will support underground production within a high-performing team focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement. 

 What Will Your Day-to-Day Look Like?   

• Install, maintain, and repair underground dewatering and service pumps  

• Monitor pump performance and respond to breakdowns and water management issues  

• Conduct routine inspections, fault finding, and preventative maintenance  

• Assemble and maintain pipework, valves, and associated fittings  

• Work safely in an underground environment in line with site procedures  

• Liaise with operations and maintenance teams to support continuous production   

Our Ideal Candidate Background Includes   

• Previous experience working as a Pump Fitter ideally with underground mining and/or dewatering experience. Exposure to challenge mono, flytgt submersible and/or centrifugal pumps will be highly regarded  

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (or equivalent) 

• Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to site procedures  

• Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment  

• Ability to meet all site access requirements (including, but not limited to, Medical, DAS, NPC & valid Manual Driver's Licence)
