An opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced Quality Control Engineer to join our Production team at South Guildford.
The Role
As a Quality Control Engineer, you will be responsible for the incoming inspection of rigs and rig components to ensure their conformity to driving documents. Responsibilities also include but are not limited to:
- Incoming inspections and reporting according to quality and safety standards
- Capture, report and track NCRs on production floor
- Defect reporting and defect cost record
- Setup of quality process flow documentation
- Developing and maintaining company inspection reports.
- Working with leads to streamline production and implement lean manufacturing techniques
- Ensuring production is not hindered by quality inspection and testing procedures
- RCA on any critical failures
The Candidate
Reporting to the Product Manager, the successful candidate will be required to meet the following criteria:
- Minimum 2 years previous experience in a similar role (inspection/quality technician)
- Ability to work autonomously
- Previous experience in analysing and interpreting technical information
- Previous experience drafting reports and collating data
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of heavy machinery production lines
- Strong mathematics skills
