Position Title: Quality Control Leader
Work Location: Dover DE, (initially and temporarily in Harrington DE).
Key duties of this role will include:
- Lead the development of key product development programs
- Deploy and support a Quality Culture within local FFI, by assuring quality with systems, tools and teams to exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations
- Develop and maintain the quality management system and all aspects managed in line with FFI guidance
- Perform sampling and quality control testing on incoming components and final products. Supervise quality control technicians.
- Performing release and qualification activities on components and products, generate CoAs.
- Assists in the implementation of effective internal controls to verify that processes will meet customer and stakeholder requirements
- Validate that control plans are applied and effective in mitigating known risks
- Represent the voice of the customer within local teams. Challenge the teams with customer experience feedback and input to decisions. Enable and coach employees to evaluate risks, problems and solutions from a customer/stakeholder point of view. Collaborate with sales team to identify and solve quality issues from customers and stakeholders.
- Utilize FFI systems and tools to meet operational and customer expectations throughout their lifecycle. Utilize advanced product quality planning to assure effective introduction of new products
- Utilize the local Quality Management System to provide the local teams with procedures and documentation that sufficiently describe their work activities
- Lead the local teams in the application of an operational approach and system of process management that is continually evaluated for effectiveness
- Statistical trending and analysis of QC testing data.
- Perform audits and utilize quality data analytics from all parts of the operation to identify risks, failures and non-conformances within the local operations, its suppliers, and customers
- Implements Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and business compliance standards providing a safe working environment, and continuous improvement in HSE process and integrity performance.
In order to be considered for this role you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in quality, science, industrial, or mechanical engineering.
- Desirable - Certificate or Diploma in Auditing for ISO9001 system or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience delivering quality-focused outcomes in a mass production manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
- Experience using QA software tools and processes and automatically controlled processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving and project management skills
- Desirable:
- Proven experience in an auditing role under ISO9001 or equivalent
